Magnetic Wear Liners & Quick-Change Panels

Magnetic wear panels (also called magnetic wear liners) are wear linings with magnetic backing designed for ultra-rapid replacement without drilling, welding, or hot work. They are ideal for hard-to-reach areas or when maintenance windows are very short.

What Are the Advantages of Magnetic Wear Panels?

  • Installation in Minutes (Quick-Change): Repositionable for inspection.
  • Zero Hot-Work: No fire permits, no chassis drilling required.
  • Maintenance-First: Panel-by-panel replacement without adhesive management.
  • Compatible Materials: ELASTOCER-MAGNET (polymer-ceramic 90–92% Al₂O₃, 94% option)
  • Formats: 12×12, 16×18, 24×24, 24×48, and custom sizes (angles, radii, openings).
  • Adhesion Force Sized to Your Structure: Steel thickness, orientation, and vibration considerations.

Typical Applications

  • Transfer Points & Chutes with Restricted Access
  • Hoppers / Rock Boxes / Chutes Requiring Frequent Inspections
  • Temporary Field Interventions Before Permanent Replacement
  • Sites Where Hot-Work Is Restricted (HSE procedures, ATEX zones, etc.)

Limitations & Best Practices

  • Requires a Clean, Flat, Ferromagnetic Substrate with sufficient rigidity (steel thickness validation).
  • For High Vibration / Severe Impacts: Plan for secondary retention (screws/chains/stops).
  • Temperature: Allowable range depends on magnet grade; beyond that, consider bolt-on/weldable options.
  • Incompatible with Austenitic Stainless Steel (non-magnetic) without a steel interface plate.
  • Avoid Cutting Magnetic Panels On-Site: Prioritize custom-sized panels.

Standard Specifications

  • Total Thicknesses: Per service requirements (custom).
  • Ceramic (ELASTOCER-MAGNET): 90–92% standard, 94% option.
  • Wear Face: Rubber/PU adapted (abrasion, low friction, chemical resistance).
  • Accessories: Installation handles, alignment marks, retention kits.

FAQ — Magnetic Wear Liners & Quick-Change Panels

Pull force is sized based on steel thickness and quality, orientation, vibrations, and local impacts. A pull test can be provided upon request.
This depends on the magnet grade. Beyond the recommended range, we offer a bolt-on or weldable version for hot environments.
Yes, if the magnetic force is properly sized. For significant vibrations, adding simple mechanical retention increases safety.
Direct contact requires clean, flat steel. On non-magnetic stainless steel or overly thin gauge, use an interface plate to ensure adhesion.
Yes, if the radius allows full support. Otherwise, opt for custom segments or a bolt-on panel.
Standard formats: 12×12, 16×18, 24×24, 24×48, or custom for angles, radii, and specific openings.
ELASTOCER-MAGNET in polymer-ceramic (90–92% Al₂O₃ standard, 94% option) or Rubber MAG (100% rubber). The wear face can be adapted for abrasion, friction, or chemical resistance.
All panels are manufactured locally in Quebec, with shipments to Canada and the USA. Lead times are short, confirmed based on dimensions and required adhesion force.
