How to choose your material?

Quick Selection Guide by Application:

  • Wet abrasion (slurry): high-performance NR (flexible, very resilient) – ex.: Linatex®.
  • Sticky materials / build-up: reinforced NR with anti-stick treatment.
  • Heavy impacts / angular chunks (gouging): hard NR or reinforced NR – ex.: Linard®, DuraShield®.
  • Oils / emulsions: Nitrile (NBR); HNBR if higher temperature.
  • Acid/base chemistry + T°: Bromobutyl (BIIR) or Butyl (IIR) (choice according to process and concentration).
  • Outdoor / hot water / UV-ozone: EPDM (first choice); CR possible depending on exposure.
  • High temperature (dry air) / food: Silicone (very wide thermal range, low abrasion resistance).
  • High temperature (dry air) / food: Silicone (very wide thermal range, low abrasion resistance). Severe solvents/hydrocarbons + high T°: Viton® / FKM (excellent chemical and thermal resistance).

Industry-Specific Applications & Real-World Use Cases

  • Mining & Aggregate Processing: Critical wear protection for chute lining, conveyor skirting, hoppers, and hydrocyclones. We recommend premium Natural Rubber (NR) or Linatex® for wet slurry handling and severe abrasion, ensuring maximum equipment lifespan.
  • Steel Mills & Metallurgy: Heavy-duty impact deflectors and anti-wear protection for cold/hot rolling processes. For environments exposed to cutting fluids and grease, we supply Oil-Resistant Nitrile (NBR) sheets to prevent swelling and degradation.
  • Chemical & Petrochemical: Specialized corrosion protection. We provide Butyl and Bromobutyl rubber lining for acid storage tanks, pipes, and reaction vessels, offering superior impermeability against aggressive chemicals and gases.
  • Pulp & Paper Industry: Durable conveyor skirting, log handling aprons, and anti-wear wall protection using robust SBR or NR. For maintenance areas and machinery exposed to lubrication, high-grade Nitrile (NBR) is used to ensure long-term sealing.
  • Food, Beverage & Pharmaceuticals: Hygienic solutions including custom seals, gaskets, and screening stars. We offer FDA-Compliant White Nitrile and EPDM sheets that meet strict sanitary standards for non-toxic contact.
  • Forestry & Sawmills: High-impact protection for debarking lines, conveyor skirts, and lumber stops. To prevent material build-up ("hang-up") and resist cutting, we specify reinforced rubber grades like Linard® 60.

FAQ - Rubber Sheets and Rolls

Yes. We are specialists in the installation of Linatex® linings in factory and on-site throughout Quebec and the Maritimes, including surface preparation, bonding, inspection and final testing.
The choice depends on the application: NR is recommended for abrasion (ELASTO NR for dry abrasion, high-performance NR for aggressive wet abrasion), NBR for oils and emulsions, and Butyl/Bromobutyl for acidic or basic chemical environments and optimal sealing, especially at high temperature.
When the environment is very aggressive (slurry, heavy impacts, angular chunks) or when the cost of production shutdowns is high. Their superior service life more than compensates for the initial investment.
Absolutely. We offer cutting (waterjet, saw, CNC), pre-drilling, workshop covering and provide technical advice for proper surface preparation for bonding.
Rolls from 1/8″ to 2″ (3.2 to 50 mm) thick, widths from 24″ to 60″ standard, and custom dimensions on request. We also offer pre-cut sheets and kits ready for installation.
Yes. EPDM is our first choice for outdoor and hot water; CR (neoprene) is also available for certain exposures. We also offer UV-stabilized compounds on request.
Yes. We can supply FDA-approved materials for food & beverage applications and antistatic/conductive compounds for ATEX-regulated environments. Ask us for specific certifications.
Yes. We maintain a massive inventory locally in Quebec, Canada, ready for immediate use. Unlike drop-shippers, our material is physically in stock on our floor, available for same-day pickup or fast shipping to Montreal, Toronto, and across North America. We eliminate long lead times, ensuring your project stays on schedule with a reliable local supply.
Absolutely. Our pre-cured rubber sheets are the industry standard for fabricating custom gaskets, washers, and door seals. Depending on your needs, we recommend Nitrile (Buna-N) for oil/fuel resistance or EPDM for outdoor weatherproofing. You can cut them easily by hand or use our custom die-cutting service for precision parts.
Yes. Our rubber is widely used as heavy-duty workbench covers, tool chest liners, and floor runners. It provides excellent impact protection for tools, reduces noise, and acts as an anti-fatigue matting surface. It is durable enough to withstand dropped heavy parts while protecting the underlying surface from damage.
Yes. Our rubber is frequently used in construction for weatherproofing strips and anti-slip surfaces. It is also the ideal material for creating vibration isolation pads to place under HVAC units, generators, and heavy machinery, effectively dampening noise and structural vibration.
Yes, our high-grade rubber sheets are perfect for chute lining, hopper protection, and sandblasting curtains. For extreme abrasion, we recommend our specialized Linatex® or DuraShield® products, but for general industrial wear and impact protection, our standard SBR and Neoprene rolls offer a cost-effective and durable solution.
